Legal Protection Guards Children's Hearts, Safe Journey for All Kids! Lawyer Zhou Lihong from Our Office Gives a Practical "First-Day Legal Class" to Xiaochikan School in Doumen District

On September 11, 2025, the event titled "2025 Doumen District: Police and Lawyers Join Hands to Enter Campus, Legal Vice Principals Deliver 'First Class of the New Semester'!" – co-hosted by Doumen Branch of Zhuhai Public Security Bureau, Doumen District Bureau of Justice, Doumen District Bureau of Education, and Doumen & Jinwan Lawyers Working Committee of Zhuhai Lawyers Association – was held at Xiaochikan School in Doumen District. Lawyer Zhou Lihong from KINGPOUND KAYUI LAW FIRM was invited to give a lecture. With the theme of "Guard Youth (Childhood) · Self-Protection", she delivered a professional yet easy-to-understand legal and safety awareness talk to the students.

During the lecture, Lawyer Zhou Lihong focused on two core topics: "Juvenile Delinquency and Protection" and "Prevention of Sexual Assault and Self-Protection". First, based on laws such as the Law on the Protection of Minors and the Law on the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency, and combined with data from the 2024 White Paper on Procuratorial Work Concerning Minors, she explained the division of criminal responsibility ages for minors, analyzed common types of illegal and criminal acts such as school bullying, "doxxing" (online personal information disclosure), and "remote molestation", and made it clear that "being a minor is not a 'get-out-of-jail-free card'". At the same time, she also elaborated on parents' civil liability for compensation and guardianship responsibilities.

Focusing on the key area of sexual assault prevention, Lawyer Zhou used the straightforward definition "areas covered by a swimsuit are private parts" to clarify this crucial concept. She highlighted the characteristic that a high proportion of sexual assault cases are committed by acquaintances, explained in detail the common tactics used by perpetrators, and taught the "Four-Step Self-Protection Rule" – defining personal physical boundaries, refusing wisely, escaping promptly, and seeking help to report the case. She also emphasized the importance of preserving evidence and not remaining silent or tolerating such acts.

During the interactive Q&A session, students actively raised their hands to answer questions regarding school violence, the age of criminal responsibility, and rights protection. Lawyer Zhou addressed each question one by one, transforming legal knowledge into practical self-protection skills. To encourage everyone to take the initiative in learning the law, small legal publicity gifts were distributed on-site to students who actively participated in answering questions, further enhancing the atmosphere of legal learning.
