This "First Lesson of the New Semester" rule of law education campaign is an important initiative taken by Doumen District to focus on the protection of minors and consolidate the rule of law defense line on campus.Invited as the guest speaker for the rule of law lecture of this campaign, Lawyer Zhou Lihong tailored her content to the cognitive characteristics and growth needs of primary and secondary school students. Based on laws including the Law on the Protection of Minors and the Law on the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency, and drawing on the data from the 2024 White Paper on Juvenile Prosecutorial Work, she interpreted the age divisions of criminal liability for minors, analyzed common types of illegal and criminal acts such as school bullying, doxxing, and cyber indecency, clarified that "being a minor is by no means a get-out-of-jail-free card", and elaborated on parents' civil liability for compensation and guardianship obligations.
From the identification and response to school bullying, to the legal protection of personal rights and interests, and then to the risk prevention of cyber security, Lawyer Zhou used vivid explanations to help students deeply understand that "the law is right beside them". She guided them to learn to use legal weapons to safeguard their own safety and legitimate rights and interests. The class was held in a lively atmosphere and was highly praised by both teachers and students.
