KINGPOUND KAYUI (Hengqin) Joint-Venture Law Firm held a special training on Macao inheritance law.

In order to enhance the professional proficiency of the lawyer team in the field of cross-border law and delve deeply into the practical application of Macao inheritance law, KINGPOUND KAYUI (Hengqin) Joint-Venture Law Firm successfully held a special training session titled "Hot Topics and Practices in Macao Inheritance" on April 28, 2025. This training session was lectured by Ms. Tan Wanying, a lawyer in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area from our firm, and attracted the active participation of many lawyers and trainee lawyers from KINGPOUND KAYUI.  

With her rich practical experience in cross-border law, Tan Wanying, a lawyer in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, conducted an in-depth analysis of the core key points and cutting-edge hot topics within the Macao inheritance legal system. During the training, she elaborated in detail on the key rules of legal inheritance and testamentary inheritance in Macao, and illustrated important issues such as the order of heirs, the principles of estate distribution, and the determination of the validity of wills by combining with actual cases. In addition, Lawyer Tan also introduced the specific steps for Macao residents to inherit the estates on the Chinese mainland, and carried out an in-depth analysis of the legal conflicts and coordination in cross-border inheritance, providing practical ideas and methods for handling inheritance cases involving Macao.

This training not only covered the explanation of theoretical knowledge, but also, through in-depth analysis of cases, enabled the participating lawyers to have a clearer understanding of the key points and difficulties in the practical operation of Macao inheritance law. During the training, the lawyers actively asked questions and engaged in lively discussions, and had in-depth exchanges on issues such as the application of law, evidence collection and authentication in the cases.
